Life in Wanderwood, Texas, is abuzz with stories and gossip about its latest celebrity, Adelaide Bonner Girard, or Addie to her friends who include most of the people in this small Central Texas town. The story about Addie drawing down on the murderer with six-guns blazing is totally false according to one of Addie’s best friends, Lottie Frisham. Another friend, Lacy Tindal, insists that Addie doesn’t even like guns or violence.
“Who needs guns when you can use your wits to catch the killer,” said Provisional Deputy Sheriff Twyla Dawge. “Addie is one smart and resourceful woman who was a great help to my husband, Sheriff’s Deputy Augie Dawge, when he solved this very difficult case.
Addie Girard, currently acting as Temporary Interim President of the Wanderwood Library Friends, will preside over the official opening day ceremony of the new Wanderwood/Evritt County Public Library. Shelby Draper of Wanderwood State Bank and officer in the Library Friends organization will deliver the keynote address. Refreshments will be available on the library grounds provided by the Evritt County Home Demonstration Club.
